Yes! She did it again! Linda from the Aero Club, chose to wear "Fialho" to Donald Trump's Christmas party this year again. After the great comments on her little black "Fialho" last year, she got even more compliments wearing the beautiful "red rosette dress" part of our new collection for 2011. This red dress was not only perfect for the occasion, but really enhanced Linda's beauty. She got even more compliments from Trump himself which led to this beautiful photo with him. We all know Trump is no stranger to beautiful women, remember, he even owns the Miss USA beauty pageant. It is nice to see his appreciation for women's beauty and it is an honor to receive a compliment coming from him. Linda you looked amazing! I am looking forward to our next "Fialho" project: Your stunning ball gown coming in February.
As usual, we had a great time at our Spring Photo Shoot!!! I am very happy with my 2011 Spring line. It's fashion forward, with lots of special trim and nice lines. Very sexy!!! Our beautiful models, Linda, Jilly, Diane, Jane & Pat did an awesome job!!! They are good looking and great to work with as a team.
Our make up artist Darcy Goicochea is a very special professional. I love to work with her. She joined our team at Fialho Fashion House because of her ability to bring out the best in women. She teaches ladies the entire make up process for daily life. She is also great for those special occasions, like weddings or just a girls night party. My client Saundra is my favorite house decorator. Along with her husband Steve, a home builder, she really transforms the concrete into a cozy, luxurious and fabulous atmosphere to live and entertain. She has the best eye to coordinate objects together. She is also a gorgeous blond, so I suggested my favorite colors for her...this "Fialho Top" made of 100% silk print and embellished with shells, that complements her hair, eyes & skin. It is backless and ties around the neck. She just glows in those colors!!!.... She wore it to one of our friend's party, and I couldn't resist taking a picture to show the world this beauty. A pilot like Lisa needs a professional, but yeah, feminine wardrobe. She looks fantastic in all Fialho styles. Margie Kelk, a well known artist in Toronto, wanted to change her look for a very special occasion, her daughter's wedding. She definitely didn't want the heavy title of "mother of the bride", and didn't want to look like the traditional mother. Being an artist herself, Margie did not like the dresses she saw in stores and decided to contact me.
When I create a "look" for a client, my goal is to make them the best "them" they can be. To achieve that goal, many many factors need to be taken in consideration during the designing process. Here is how "Margie's look" was created:
CHOOSING THE COLORS
Color analysis identifies Margie as a spring. So the spring colors are the colors that would bring the best out in Margie. They will make her eyes and her skin glow. I was right on target I found, when she told me her favorite color is purple, and her favorite prints are flowers. With purple being one of the most stylish colors for this year, and with the monochromatic style up and coming, my inspiration to build her color palette was chosen from this picture. I also added silver jewelry for that sparkle.
CHOOSING THE STYLE OF THE DRESS Margie is a petite lady with a beautiful toned body, gorgeous hips, narrow shoulders and an incredible flat stomach. She loved my "wrinkled ruffles look" that I had created for another dress and wanted to use this in her look. She wants a knee length which makes her feel more comfortable. The wedding is taking place in the middle of the summer in Canada, so she would like to have a summer dress with an alternative cover for her shoulders in case she feels cold. With all these parameters set, I created her dress. I gave her a fitted bias dress that followed the contour of her body with basically no seams, and I built a structure dress under to form her shape. She is petite, so many seams could be too much for her. I also wanted the dress to move as she moves, so she would be comfortable but stylish. Taking in consideration the waist belt is so in now, I properly showed her hips and waist with a beautiful skinny rhinestone buckle belt. The ruffles she so loves ,I placed on her shoulders and I gave her an asymmetrical round shape neckline to complement her oval face. Her narrow shoulders are complimented and look ravishing to have all the ruffles around them. To give a finished touch, I adorned the bottom with the matching embellishments as the top, which made her legs even better looking.
SHOES AND JEWELRY I guided Margie into very delicate silver shoes to complement the look, showed her some pictures and sent her to find the ones she feel fits. I wanted her to follow my idea but I also wanted her to be herself. She did great! She came back with very delicate sandals, very appropriate for the look. By this time she was so excited that she was out shopping for jewelry.
HAIR STYLE Margie has a beautiful thin face. She needed a longer hair style around her neck to accentuate her beauty. The first step was the hardest, let the hair grow for about 4 months. After that, inspired by this very sexy, young and cute , but ellegant hair style, I took Margie to see my favorite hair stylist, Jainy @ Generations Hair Salon in Wellington, FL. Margie needed a Brazilian Keratin treatment to make her hair curls looser and to stay longer. For colors she had some highlights and lots of low lights, to accentuate the high lights that were not seen before. The hair cut was very close to what I was looking for, and now Margie can still swim and horse back ride and always look good without the hassle of the blow dryer.

Transforming Fatigue, Stress, and Fear into Vibrancy, Strength, and Love. Great era in Fashion...color, color, color...and more to come! The need to get out of the "comfort zone" into happiness, balance and peace!
Bad times happen for a reason. To stir us out of the "comfort zone" we humans have the tendency to fall into and stay in the same old rut. Give us a need for more, need for different, need to make everything feel better.
This year has been so beautiful, purple is in the mainstream. The need to find that spiritual place to rest our souls, we reach out for rescue in our clothes, homes and work place. Spring 2011 is coming full strength, bringing that finally founded happiness in yellow. Colors makes us move and I love to work with them. The eyes are the window for our souls! Great era in Fashion!!! Enough of boring!!!
Linda Smith from the Aero Club Wellington, FL looks absolutely stony in this Fialho cocktail dress. She worn to a special function at the Mar-a-Lago mansion in Dec 2009. According to her husband, even Donald himself couldn't keep his eyes (and hands) off of Linda. She is a beautiful woman, the charm of the Aero Club. Go Linda!!!
